Honoring the Women of AlphaGroup

April 13, 2021

Evolving from humble beginnings as Women’s History Week in 1981, the month of March has been marked as an opportunity to specifically feature the too-often-overlooked achievements of women throughout our country. Each year, the month is celebrated with a theme, with 2021 focusing on women’s political involvement throughout the centuries, highlighting women’s suffrage to honor “Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced.”

The AlphaGroup is proud to highlight the accomplished women in our company. Women—who make up of more than 70% of our company—serve in key roles on every team, ranging from leadership to scientific, accounts, and shared services.

During the March 31 all-staff meeting, we announced the promotions of 10 incredible women, including five who rose to leadership positions:

  • Jennifer Meyering was promoted to VP Scientific Director after years of proving that she can take on any challenge thrown her way.
  • Chelsea Corradetti was promoted to Director of SQS. Last year, Chelsea was a department of one, managing all the challenges that came across the SQS desk. She has since grown her team and now manages a strong, reliable unit
  • Erin Crocker was promoted to VP Head of Client Services at the AlphaScientia branch; she has shown great leadership abilities in her years at AlphaGroup and her commitment and attention to detail have been crucial in helping to grow the AlphaScientia branch
  • Iesha Crofoot-Lewis and Jen Cogliano were both promoted to VP Account Director. After a little more than a year with the AlphaGroup, both Jen and Iesha have proven their invaluable leadership skills, and we are excited to watch them succeed in their expanded roles

The women of the AlphaGroup exhibit their brilliance with advanced degrees ranging from Master’s Degrees in Biochemistry and Writing; MBAs; and PhDs in Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, and Biotechnology; as well as VMDs, RNs, and CMPPs. Our members serve as leaders in the STEM world and act as role models for other women and girls in their respective communities. They have a thirst for education and are always striving for more knowledge in both their careers and personal lives.

It is more than just their contributions to the success of the AlphaGroup that make our team members incredible. Our workplace is made up of talented artists, chefs, Olympic-level lifting athletes, Jeopardy! contestants, personal trainers, coaches, world travelers, gamers, musicians, and mothers—to humans, pets, and plants.

The brilliant and diverse group of women on our team are a major reason for AlphaGroup’s continued success, owing to their strength, talent, and camaraderie. We are thankful for the incredible women of the AlphaGroup, during Women’s History Month and always.
